Hello and welcome

Hello, I am Helen,  a warm empathic qualified person-centered counsellor and registered member of the BACP ~ I offer my therapy mainly online and by telephone to adults of all ages.

Before becoming a counsellor, I worked as a teacher, supporting students both in the classroom and pastorally. Additionally, having grown up 6000 miles from my birthplace and lived and worked in four countries across three continents, my diverse experiences, training, and connections have led me to where I am today. These experiences have reinforced my belief in the uniqueness of every individual, and I firmly believe in each person's ability to find their own path.

I am here to offer you a compassionate and safe environment to explore your concerns, whether you are seeking assistance in achieving a particular goal or navigating through the impact of a significant life event.

I am also passionate about creating a safe and understanding space for those who are grieving the loss of their companion animals. Please see my dedicated page to read more about what led me to specialise in this area.

I maintain my learning and development by attending and regularly take part in continuing professional development courses (CPD). Additionally, I possess an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Whilst training I completed face-to-face sessional work at two leading charities in North West England.  I have been privileged to work with many clients, all seeking therapy for various purposes.
